THE ESTATE OF SYLVIA MOY FOUNDATION (EoSMF) is a 501 c (3) nonprofit affiliate of the Estate of Sylvia Moy LLC d/b/a Masterpiece Sound Studios, that was established by the eight siblings and heirs of, Sylvia Moy, Motown’s first female songwriter/producer, multi-platinum and gold album awardee, and 2006 Songwriter Hall of Fame Inductee dedicated to :

- continuing to promote great songs and the songwriters who write them
- promoting and preserving the long history and success of the music industry in Detroit
- supporting emerging music creators and artists in all genres
- encouraging music education and talent development through online and in-person courses
- providing free music industry educational online courses

Sylvia Moy penned more than 150 iconic songs such as ”Uptight, My Cherie Amour, It Takes Two, and My Baby Loves Me”, as Motown’s first female songwriter/producer, and was a 2006 Songwriter’s Hall of Fame inductee, who passed in 2017. Following her passing, Sylvia’s eight siblings formed the Estate of Sylvia Moy LLC, dedicated to refurbishing, remodeling, enhancing, and reopening the Masterpiece Sound studio and building located at 1611 Webb to properly represent and promote the legacy of Sylvia Moy that includes the mission of EoSMF
